MMA Music

Tarzan, My Jungle King was written specifically for the silent film, The Son of Tarzan, which was made in 1920. The film starred Kamuela Searle in the lead, with Manilla Martin as his love interest, Meriem.  Playing "second fiddle" was P. Dempsey Tabler (as Tarzan) and Karla Schramm (as Jane).

Edgar Rice Burroughs, author of the Tarzan novels, attended the MMA for fours years and after his 1895 graduation served as Assistant Commandant for one year (1896-1897).
